What’s this? A Top Ten Tuesday post on… a Sunday? Yeah, well, I’m slightly behind due to the Great Blogging Crisis of 2016, so I’m playing catch up. And I couldn’t not do this list because debuts are one of my favourite things to talk about. I am, admittedly, very out of the loop when it comes to new releases at the moment. I’m trying my best to catch up, but there are just so many of them. So I’ve gone through Goodreads and picked out the debuts that look most interesting. I’m not sure if they’ve been getting good reviews or if there’s been any buzz about any in particular, but I’ll get there eventually, okay?
1. Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves
For starters, it’s a fantasy book. It could turn out to be very generic. But the blurb recommends it to fans of Red Queen, which tells me that while it may not be the best written book or the most original, it’ll be action packed and addictive. Also, that cover.
2. Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza
I kind of chose this because of the title. I think it sounds badass, just like the main character, who is setting out to avenge her family.
Time travel. That’s all I really have to say. The cover doesn’t really match up, but oh well.
4. The Edge of Everything by Jeff Giles
I was unexpectedly sent this for review and after looking up reviews, I have to say that I’m really excited to read it.
5. One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus
Thrillers are my thing.
6. Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts
This is another one that I received for review and has been getting a lot of hype. I’m probably going to read it as soon as I’m in the mood for fantasy again.
7. Follow Me Back by A. V. Geiger
Another thriller for the list!
8. After the Fall by Kate Hart
This is about a girl who gets into a relationship with two brothers. Most people would probably screw their noses up, but I think it sounds intriguing.
9. Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody
A fantasy about an illusion worker sounds right up my street.
10. To Catch a Killer by Sheryl Scarborough
“As a toddler, Erin survived for three days alongside the corpse of her murdered mother.” If that line doesn’t grab you, what will?
You’ve introduced me to a few new thrillers here! And some new fantasy. I always have time for more fantasy. Hopefully these end up being fantastic!
Mission complete!
Royal Bastards has been on my radar for a while now, it sounds lke it will be a fun fantasy. 😀
Also, I’m so glad to see you’re back! 😀
Thanks dear 😀
