Since I’ve changed the name of my blog, I thought I should change my rating system back to the simple Star System. Maybe I’ll think of something creative, but anything I think of at the moment which would fit with my blog name, it terribly confusing!
Anyway, here’s an updated description of my rating system.
Five Stars – I loved the book. Highly recommend it. What are you waiting for? Go buy it! Everything from the plot to the sentence structure is amazing.
Four Stars – I really, really enjoyed this book. It’s not my favourite book in the world, but it’s close. You should definitely check it out! The plot, characters and writing are brilliant.
Three Stars – I liked this book. I think you should buy it/borrow it and perhaps you’ll like it too. Has a decent plot and/or characters and/or writing style.
Two Stars- This book just wasn’t for me. Others may like it, I think you should look at other reviews before making up your mind. However, for me, something about it was lacking, whether it be the plot, characters or writing style. I didn’t enjoy it, and do not recommend it to others like me.
One Star – I am unlikely to give a one coconut rating very often. However, if I do, it would most likely be for a book that I struggled to finish or just simply did not like at all for a variety of reasons.
Phew. So, with all that said and done, I hope you like the rating system. I’ve tried to be as fair (and polite, of course) as possible, whilst still getting my point across.
Happy reading everyone, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
