Wanheda Part 2 was a lot more action packed than Part 1, which is good because I’m not sure I would have been able to handle two slow episodes in a row. Well, of course I would have, because this is the best show on TV right now, but I would have been sad. So in this episode we got a cute reunion, an epic reunion, a SPIT IN HER FACE reunion, and some awesome chemistry that us fans can do a lot with. Plus some City of Light stuff that is confusing the hell out of me.
Overall, Wanheda Part 2 was better than the season premiere, which was more of an introductory episode than a chaotic one like the rest of the season is likely to be. The best thing was there was more Bellarke.
BELLARKE. BELLAMY BLAKE <3’S CLARKE GRIFFIN. I will fight you all on this if it comes to it. I don’t care what the writers and showrunner are saying, Bellarke are a legit thing and if that is platonic then I will eat my foot. This episode damn near killed me. We had Bellamy spot Clarke from afar, try to run across a field towards her, then sneak off dressed as an Ice Nation soldier to find her anyway. Not only that, but BELLAMY FOUND CLARKE. I’m freaking out because a) it was such a beautiful scene with the music and Bob’s acting and the EMOTIONS, and b) it’s more than fucking Phil (Finn, for those of you who are new here) ever did. IT WAS AMAZING. Then he got caught and stabbed in the leg by Roan, who LISTENED TO CLARKE BECAUSE HE KINDA LIKES CLARKE AND HE REALISED HOW MUCH CLARKE LOVES BELLAMY. Seriously, if Jason the showrunner keeps saying these two are platonic then he needs to have a serious word with his writers and his cast, because Bob and Eliza are playing Bellarke so far from platonic that platonic doesn’t even exist in the same universe as this pairing.
Pike and Farm Station
So the new bad guy has been introduced and he now has a name. I disliked him immediately because he didn’t like Indra and he’s not going to like Lincoln or Octavia, however, I can kind of see where he’s coming from? If a group of people had killed my people (my children, no less) then I would want to #killthemall, no question. But, you don’t fuck with my favourite characters, so I hate Pike for what he’s inevitably about to do.
Monty’s reunion with his mum was the most adorable thing. She must stay forever. Also, I wonder if Miller’s boyfriend survived? Can we have a gay love triangle, pretty please?
I knew something dodgy was going on considering he was avoiding the Ice Nation army. I wasn’t expecting him to be the prince. ALSO, this means that the queen (I assume it’s his mother? Maybe his sister?) is older. A lot older than Lexa, which isn’t hard. I also died over him being called Prince Roan because Heir of Fire. Hahaha. He and Clarke have chemistry, and I totally see them teaming up in the future. She’s won him over. I’m not shipping it romantically, but I want to see them team up, kill Lexa, take down the Ice Queen, and rule the world. LIKE ROWAN AND AELIN BUT NO SEXY TIMES.
CLARKE SPAT IN LEXA’S FACE RIGHT AFTER I TOLD HER TO (via tweets) YAAAASSSSS QUEEN. I fucking hate Lexa even more after this episode, and I see that continuing to escalate as the season goes on. Let’s recap for a moment. Lexa convinced Clarke to shut her emotions down, and to leave behind her people while TonDC was about to be destroyed. I could handle that. Leaders make shit decisions. But then Lexa LEFT CLARKE AND HER PEOPLE ON A MOUNTAIN TO DIE. I shut down right there and stopped even considering Clexa as a potential ship. Anyway, to add to this, Lexa then hired a (hot) guy to bring Clarke in, made Clarke KNEEL before her, and is now trying to convince Clarke to get her people to bow before her. HOW IS THIS A SHIP?! BURN IT TO THE GROUND. I need Lexa to take a tumble from her tower.
City of Light
This was more intriguing than last week now that we’ve seen what is going on in Jaha’s head. But HOW?! I want to know more, which I guess is the goal. And dead people are also there. Just. WTF. I’m glad that this storyline is getting slightly more interesting (or maybe it’s just intriguing because I like mysteries) because otherwise this could have changed the entire impact of this season. I’m still not set on this storyline, and I still think it needs our favourite characters involved. Murphy isn’t liked enough, and Jaha isn’t interesting at all. Both should be dead.
What did you think of the episode? Did you have a heart attack after the Bellarke reunion as well?
