March was another busy month and I am seriously craving some down time. The month began with my sister’s birthday, which was a lot of fun for her. I went out for a celebratory “I broke up with my abusive fiancé” meal with my aunt, who was the one we were celebrating for. The meal was amazing, especially as I got to eat my favourite pumpkin burger again.
I went to the Scholastic Book Bloggers Feast a couple of weeks ago and I had a grand time. I met some people in person who I’ve been talking to for years, and Stevie told me about a certain Mistborn novella that I absolutely NEED to read ASAP. At the event we got to hear about what goes into editing and book cover designing, as well as listening to a bunch of authors talk about their books. You can find all the info under #bookbloggersfeast. I was going to write a post but I haven’t had time yet so I’ve been a complete and utter failure.
Anyway, then it was Easter and I spent the four day weekend being ridiculously busy. First, I went to the cinema with my sister. Then my aunt arrived from Germany, along with my two cousins, and I spent Saturday paintballing with my uncle and three of my cousins. On Sunday we were all at my aunt’s house for Easter dinner, and then on Monday I trekked into London with them to go to the London Dungeons. So it was a busy few days, and I didn’t have time to relax! Boo! But it was lots of fun nonetheless.

Book of the Month
Movies & TV
I went to see Zootopia in the cinema (it’s called Zootropolis over here for trademark reasons) and it was AWESOME. So awesome that I want to watch it again. I adored the main characters (mostly Judy) and I heard that they switched the focus from Nick to Judy because audiences wanted to see more of her. YASSSS. Anyway, I ended up shipping them and I came out of the movie with a huge grin on my face.
I watched this on Netflix with my sister because I was planning on going to watch 10 Cloverfield Lane, but in the end I just didn’t have time to go. I really enjoyed the film though because it was a mindless apocalyptic thriller. I don’t understand why the characters went back for that one woman because if that was me I would be out of there like a shot. I’m heartless, I suppose. And logical.
Tatum, Dee, and I started watching this show (it’s on its fourth episode now) and it’s actually really good! It’s set in the South on a plantation, where there must be dozens of slaves. There are loads of characters, but the most prominent ones are Noah and Rosalie. Noah has returned to this plantation (owned by someone I like to call Charles and his evil wife Camilla) and he’s trying to convince the other slaves to run. Rosalie is the daughter of the head of the house slaves (who is flawless by the way). There’s also Riley from Buffy, who is a sympathiser (is that the correct term?) who, along with his wife, want to house runaway slaves. AND ALSO JAMES LAFFERTY. Anyway, my point is, it’s a really good show that has some serious Spartacus vibes. And I still don’t know everyone’s names so I’m making them up at this point.
Looking Forward
April is going to be another busy month but I hope to at least get some relaxation days in there somewhere. I’ve got a board game night coming up with people from work, my work book club’s very first meeting, a wedding, dinner with Lili, driving lessons, and so much more. I was also planning on taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo but I just don’t know how I’m going to fit that in. I want to still try though because I’ve been wanting to take part in the Camps and in the actual NaNo for years and I haven’t yet managed it apart from way back in 2011. Argh. It’s painful.
