Me in February
Obligatory HOW IS IT MARCH comment. February has gone by so freakin’ fast, and I think it’s because I was so busy compared to how it was last year, when I rarely ventured out at the weekends and evenings because I liked my chill time. I still do, but I keep agreeing to go out and somehow I have become what can almost be considered a busy bee. Almost.
Anyway, February was full of cinema trips (two, to see the same movie), dentist appointments (just one for three minor fillings, thankfully), and birthdays. My cousin turned 22 and I went to her birthday meal which was lovely, and then my brother turned 17 a couple of days ago. He’s started taking driving lessons, so now I am feeling a tonne of pressure to get my own driving license and my own car.
Speaking of driving lessons, I’ve just got back from my fifth one and they’re going so well. My driving instructor is all right. I mean, we haven’t got into any blazing arguments about politics or anything. Yet. I’m quite opinionated so there have been times where I’ve had to bite my tongue when he’s been chatting away. But the actual driving is going well and I’m not completely hating it. I’ve been introduced to busy crossroads, clutch control, round-a-bouts (which I actually don’t mind), and in a couple of weeks we’re going to start properly tackling manoeuvres like reversing around a corner and parallel parking(!).
One of the highlights of my month was attending Alwyn’s book launch for Rebel of the Sands in London, where I met Lili for the first time in person, along with Lucy and Sally, and a bunch of other people who I had met before. It was absolutely boiling inside the bookshop, but I think Alwyn enjoyed herself and she gave a cute speech, before signing about a million books for me. There were also cupcakes!
I’m doing well on the vegetarian front. It’s been over a month now (almost five weeks and counting), and I’m not even craving meat. As for veganism, I’ve decided not to go completely vegan just yet because I feel like I need more time to properly focus on my diet. However, I’ve completely cut out milk that comes from animals, as well as butter and cheese. Again, none of those have really been huge issues for me, and I don’t crave them at at all.
Two other highlights were buying two very exciting tickets. The first being my train ticket for my trip to Edinburgh! I decided in January that I really wanted to go, as I’ve never been to Scotland, and I was able to buy tickets a few weeks ago. I’m so excited! I’m going at the end of April for a few days, and I have so much stuff planned. And secondly, I GOT TICKETS FOR V FEST! I tried to get pre-sale tickets but those all sold out, so my friend and I were on the site to buy tickets from 8.45am ready for the tickets to go on sale at 9.30. Our waiting paid off, and I was able to get tickets for me, my friend, and our mothers! I’m so excited, as I’ve never been to a festival before and there are some great acts playing!

Book of the Month
Movies & TV
Apparently I watched a whole lot of things in February. I’m not sure how that happened, really. But I watched too much to really go into much detail about them, so these are the highlights.
John Wick – Not the best movie, and THE PUPPY WAS KILLED, but I enjoyed it.
Just Like Heaven – I went through a Mark Ruffolo phase in February.
Legally Blonde – I watched this with my little sister because I was in the mood for wonderful genius hilarity.
13 Going on 30 – Yeah. Mark Ruffolo. And thriller.
The 100 – IT’S SO GOOD YOU GUYS I AM LOVING THIS SEASON AND ALL THE BELLARKE
The Royals – Okay, so season one of this show is freakin’ appalling. I only watched this because I saw the above ship in a video with Bellarke and I decided I HAD to watch it. I roped Tatum in, and then we fell in love with a ship? It was a bit questionnable at first but it improved. And now season two is better than season one. They seem to have gotten a bigger budget and hired better writers.
Pokemon – Brooke had never seen Pokemon so I had to fix it.
Deadpool – I SAW IT TWICE IT’S AMAZING AND I AM IN LOVE WITH RYAN REYNOLDS. Wade and I are planning a spring wedding.
Looking Forward
Once again, I expect to be super busy in March. I’ll be continuing with my driving lessons, of course, and I hope to make some progress there. I have a hen do and a wedding to go to, in which I will be a bridesmaid. It’s my sister’s birthday next week, and I’m excited for her because she is bouncing off the walls. Then I have a publishing event to go to towards the end of the month, and it’s Easter right at the end which means I will be getting EASTER EGGS.
The Royals improved so much on the second season, I binge watched it on January and I was 100% no sold at the start of season one but I was seeing with a friend and he kept pushing me but by the end of season 2 I was super obsessed with it. Just like heaven & Legally Blonde & 13 going 30 are rom com heaven.
I watched Legally Blonde for the first time with my sister this month too! It was a great easy going film to chill out to. I’ve been cutting down on meat (and sneaking quorn into the boyfriend’s meals haha) in Feb and I’m determined to do this more and more this month

Congratulations on the driving lessons! Deadpool is SO GOOD <3
YES FOR DEADPOOL. Soooo good. Everything I wanted it to be.
Also I need to watch Legally Blonde; it’s been too long.
I am completely with you, I adored Deadpool. I would go see it again in the cinema, it was so freaking funny. And I completely understand your small Mark Ruffalo phase, I went through one of those a few months back.
Gotta say just one thing: 13 going on 30 is one of my guilty cutesy movies! <3
