So, I did it! I have successfully moved to WordPress. I haven’t quite got the hang of it yet, but I’m getting there. The move has been really bloody stressfull, and it’s not something I would ever put myself through again. I might write a post on it when I’m back from America. For now, I will be going back and formatting old posts (all 933 of them!) and making sure everything looks presentable.
As you can tell, there’s no fancy design yet, but that is going to follow later, I promise! Judith is currently working on something for me, and while I have no idea what it’s going to look like, I’m very excited. I’ve never had a custom design before (one that I haven’t made myself in Paint), and Judith is hella talented.
I will be updating via WordPress from now on, so you don’t need to stay subscribed to my Blogspot blog. While things might look a little weird for the time being, the content will still be the same, so I hope you won’t mind too much!

I hardly did anything, let’s be honest. Apart from panic and freak out! Bahaha, you didn’t see me crying and rocking back and forth.

I was going to leave it until mid-March, but then I decided to do it before I take my blogging break while I’m in America so I have time to work on posts and things 🙂 Plus, I’m really impatient and I was excited, haha.
The move was stressful mostly because of said impatience, and the fact that I had my domain and hosting with two different companies, which made everything a bit more complicated! Thankfully Judith had let me have a look at her WP before I moved so I was a tiny bit familiar with the layout and settings.
Neither can I!

I figured it would be better to do it before I take my blogging break and go abroad, that way I have lots of time to sort through posts and for Judith to do the design 😀 I can’t wait either, this plain white theme is WEIRD.

Okay, so I came off as rude in my previous comment. I laughed because I still use it myself when I can’t be bothered with Photoshop. So I was all ‘Paint is not dead yet.’ I probably should’ve mentioned this before…
Hahahaha, I didn’t think you sounded rude at all! Don’t worry. Paint on Windows 8 has a whole bunch of options, I love it.
Haha then I’m probably just stressed out working on my thesis. =P
Oh yes, Windows 8 Paint is the best yet. Obviously.

Yay, congrats on the move! WordPress is just so much smoother than Blogger in every way, I hope you grow to love it =D Plus there are so many exciting plugins and things to use.
The worst thing of migration is definitely the formatting… I would advise that you do it in small batches, so as to save your sanity =P Looking forward to seeing the new design!

Glad everything is okay now, I saw on twitter that it wasn’t going so smoothly at one point. The thought of moving to WordPress has been troubling me for a few months now. I can’t decide if I should do it… Blogger hasn’t done anything sketchy to me and I enjoy using it (though some things are annoying me – like my search widget that won’t work *rage*). I’m just not convinced yet.
