For the past couple of years, I have been posting weekly about upcoming releases. Unfortunately, I’ve become quite bored of this format, and I personally don’t think it’s worth the effort that I put into it. I know that some people found my posts useful, and I’m sorry to discontinue the feature, but I was at a point where I would find myself putting off putting those posts together until the last minute.
But all is not lost! I do want to continue sharing which books I am looking forward to. There are always a few each week that I cannot wait to get my hands on, and I wanted to share those with you all. So, at the beginning of each month, I will be writing and posting a collective post about that month’s new releases. These posts won’t include ALL the books like my previous ones did, and will instead only focus on the books that I want to buy/borrow/steal.
Maybe I’ll go back to doing New Releases one day. Maybe this new thing won’t work out. But for now I am giving it a go. So here are the books I am definitely (hopefully) (maybe) going to buy in August!
Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout
While I wasn’t a fan of Origin because of the stupid spoiler and spoilers and the way they spoilered, I still want to read this to see what happens to the characters. I’m not expecting to love it, or even particularly like it, but oh well.
The Girl from the Well by Rin Chupeco
This one sounds like The Ring, and The Ring is bloody scary. It’s one of the few modern horror movies that make me poop myself, so I have high expectations for this book.
Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
ALLLLL MYYYY LIFE, I’VE PRAYED FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU
Parallel universes are my jam. My lady jam. This is out in the US already but us Brits have to wait another week or so. Although I might get the US edition because the cover is pretty.
That’s all for August! Which books are you looking forward to this month? I have a few more, but since I’m writing this post in advance, I might be able to get to them before this goes live and then the whole thing would have been a LIE.

Opposition!!! I can’t wait, I’m really excited to read it and find out how it all ends for Kay and Daemon (better end happy is all I’m saying). Also so excited for Isla! And Dissonance was so good (my review is scheduled to post this week, I think Wednesday). Since you like parallel world books, I’m recommending a book I read recently (and reviewed today), Flight of the Silvers. It was fantastic! The best book I’ve read this year. It’s adult but I think fans of YA (and parallel world books) will love it.

So many wonderful books are being released! I still need to grab a copy of Opposition, I’m super excited for Isla and I really like that cover of Dissonance, I also enjoyed the book.
Thanks for sharing.
