I’m back with a whole load of new book releases for you to check out in June 2020! I’ve got a whole mixture of things here, from adult thrillers to YA fantasy. These are my most anticipated releases excluding debut releases (more on those soon!), but there are many more books coming out in June that are bound to be amazing.
New Book Releases for June 2020

The Half Sister by Sandie Jones
16th June 2020 | Goodreads
I’m intrigued by this one because I’ve been on the lookout for another great adult thriller. Since I have a sister, this one stood out to me as one that I might particularly enjoy. I’m looking forward to seeing the dynamic between all three of them.

The Angel of the Crows by Katherine Addison
23rd June 2020 | Goodreads
I’ve not read anything else by this author (yet), but I’m super keen to read The Angel of Crows. I love some alternate history, and paranormal London mixed with Jack the Ripper is bound to be a hit.

Hunted by the Sky by Tanaz Bhethena
23rd June 2020 | Goodreads
I read A Girl Like That by this author and it became one of my all time favourite books. I’m really excited that Tanaz Bhathena is breaking into fantasy, and I’ll be checking this one out as soon as it’s released.

You Don’t Live Here by Robyn Schneider
2nd June 2020 | Goodreads
Does anyone else really like reading about natural disasters? I’m expecting You Don’t Live Here to be super hard hitting as the main character loses a family member during an earthquake, and is also dealing with figuring out her sexuality while grieving.

Queen of Coin and Whispers by Helen Corcoran
1st June 2020 | Goodreads
This is the one debut novel that I put on the list because I’m so excited for it! The picture basically says it all. It’s about a young girl who inherits a kingdom and has to avenge her murdered father. Plus, she’s going to fall in love with the female spymaster.

I Killed Zoe Spanos by Kit Frick
30th June 2020 | Goodreads
I’ve already read this one (way back in January!) and I really enjoyed it. I really liked the Hamptons setting, and I think it’s going to be one of those books that’s enjoyed best as an audiobook because there’s a podcast in there too.

Wonderland by Zoie Stage
16th June 2020 | Goodreads
I haven’t read Baby Teeth by this author yet but oh my god, give this to me now. I’m really on a horror kick at the moment and there just isn’t enough around.

Burn by Patrick Ness
2nd June 2020 | Goodreads
Burn sounds like a hot mess but I think if anyone can pull it off, Patrick Ness can! He writes such out there stuff and it’s always really unique. I’ve not read anything by him in the last couple of years but I’m ready to change that.

Stranger in the Lake by Kimberly Belle
9th June 2020 | Goodreads
This sounds like your generic adult thriller, but I’m very intrigued by the body in the lake thing and then there’s the rich people drama! I’m here for it.

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
30th June 2020 | Goodreads
Adult gothic horror set in the 1950’s? Yes. Give it to me. This sounds creepy and atmospheric and I cannot wait.

The Empire of Gold by S. A. Chakraborty
11th June 2020 | Goodreads
This is the conclusion to one of my all time favourite fantasy series! I’ve already read it and reviewed it (check out my Booktube review below!) and it was incredible. I’ll be rereading this series every year because it’s so well written and it has a beautiful message as well.

Seasons of the Storm by Elle Cosimano
23rd June 2020 | Goodreads
This sounds a bit like Rise of the Guardians, that animated movie which I LOVE. But also different. I’m very intrigued by this one, and I’m hoping for some cool elemental magic and a fun plot!
Let me know in the comments which books you’re most looking forward to reading in June, or if you’ve read any of these already. Which ones should I be prioritising? Stay tuned for another post in the coming days full of my most anticipated debuts for June!
Great list. I am so excited for The Empire of Gold but I also still haven’t read the second books (I know) so I can just binge the whole series. I didn’t realise Burn was already out as well. All I know is there are dragons and who doesn’t love dragons?
