Monthly Wrap Up: November 2017

me in november

November was a fantastic month! The month kicked off with mine and Quill’s anniversary. We were going to go for a long walk during the day, but instead we ended up at Frankie & Benny’s and then we watched the Lego Ninjago Movie at the cinema. In the evening, we went to the Thai restaurant where we had our first date. It was lovely.

My friends and I had a Harry Potter night earlier in the month, during which we dressed up (or down) in our HP pyjamas and watched the first movie. We’re hoping to do another one soon to watch the second film. It was a tonne of fun!

Then there was the firework display in one of the villages nearby, which was actually pretty great! They timed the fireworks to the music, and it went on for about half an hour. I think everyone who went loved it, apart from the shrieking babies.

Quill and I went to London for my birthday weekend and ended up at the British Museum, and then later on we went to Waterstones Piccadilly. Obviously. I didn’t buy anything, but I had a good browse and I’ve got some ideas for what to spend my book token on. On my actual birthday we went out for a roast dinner, which was yummy! The guy who served us asked if it was my 18th birthday, which had everyone laughing because I’ve actually just turned 25.

Quill took me to the Warner Bros Studio Tour for my birthday (on his birthday) and it was AMAAAAAAZING. I might write a post about it.

IT’S NEARLY CHRISTMAS! I’m not going to lie, Christmas planning and antics will be taking up most of my month. I’ve got some dinners coming up with friends and family, our work Christmas party is happening, and I’ve got a tonne of people to see. Then, of course, there’s the new Star Wars movie! I’m DYING to see it. I also want to watch Pitch Perfect 3 and a few other films, so I’ll be making the most of my Unlimited card this month.

Happy belated birthday, Amber! I’m glad you had a fantastic birthday month.

I’ve been wanting to start Abercrombie’s First Law trilogy but I just haven’t been in the mood to read for fantasy. Next year, hopefully! Also, all I’m seeing for This Darkness Mine are either 2 or 4-star ratings so very curious about that haha.

JANE THE VIRGIN! I’ve only watched a couple of episodes of the latest season and I’ve been loving it, too. It’s such a delightful show.

Aww, your anniversary sounds so nice! And your Harry Potter night. I’m definitely jealous, lol.

LOL, I still get asked if I’m in high school. I’ll be 30 in 4 months. 🙈

I just started The Blade Itself over the weekend! I’m enjoying it so far. The audiobook narration is fantastic.

I can’t wait for Star Wars! We bought tickets yesterday. 🎉

    Here’s my November recap. 😊

Your birthday sounds like it was brilliant, glad you had a great time! ANd isn’t it the best when people think you’re younger than you are? I will never not be happy when that happens, there’s a reason I’m happy when I’m ID’d in a shop. It’s a weird kind of compliment from a stranger. And please do a review for the studio tour, I’ve been meaning to go for years and I was thinking I might go for my borthday next year if I ever get around to booking tickets. Is Jane the Virgin worth a watch then? That gif is saying yes but I hate committing to shows and not enjoying them.

Hope you have a good time in the run up to Christmas, I know I’m going to be busy. And I am so excited for the new Star Wars, I need to find friends who want to go see it.
