As an Outsider, Perry has always known hunger, vicious predators, and violent energy storms from the swirling electrified atmosphere called the Aether. A bit of an outcast even among his hunting tribe, Perry withstands these daily tests with his exceptional abilities, as he is gifted with powerful senses that enable him to scent danger, food and even human emotions.
They come together reluctantly, for Aria must depend on Perry, whom she considers a barbarian, to help her get back to Reverie, while Perry needs Aria to help unravel the mystery of his beloved nephew’s abduction by the Dwellers. Together they embark on a journey challenged as much by their prejudices as by encounters with cannibals and wolves. But to their surprise, Aria and Perry forge an unlikely love – one that will forever change the fate of all who live UNDER THE NEVER SKY. – Goodreads
If you’ve read some of my reviews before then you’ll have noticed that I struggle when writing reviews on books that I love. So please don’t expect this review to be a work of art, because it won’t be. It’s recommended that you expect tonnes of gushing and squee-ing, just to be prepared!
OMG YES YES YES. I freaking LOVED this, one of my favourite reads this year. Oh psh, your review is not bad! It’s fantastic! So much so that I’m fighting temptation to pick up my copy and reread <3
The worldbuilding was stunning and the characters… oh, the characters! I am so in love. I may have to fight you for Perry. And Roar 😀
YAY!! I can’t wait to read it =D
Also I finally followed your blog ( I’m totally slow -.- )
I’m perfectly ok with characters hating each other before realizing they have serious chemistry ;D
The world sounds amazing as well. I’ll definitely be starting this soon!
The Writing and Storyline- The story is told with one chapter narrated in Aria’s point of view and the other Perry’s. I loved it being written this way. I love knowing what’s going on in both characters minds instead of having to guess what the other character is thinking and feeling. It makes me feel more a part of the story.
