1. Start taking driving lessons
I set myself the goal of passing my driving test in 2015, and I didn’t take one lesson. I honestly HATE driving, but unfortunately it has become a necessity that I at least start taking lessons. I want to stop relying on people to drive me places, and more importantly, I want get over my anxiety and stop it from controlling my life. And I feel like starting to drive will be the first step.
2. Practise Dutch every day
I started learning Dutch seriously about a year ago because of Judith, and I’m still going strong. Contrary to popular belief, I think it’s quite an easy language to learn (although the pronunciation… not so much) and it’s also quite hilarious sometimes. I’m really enjoying it, and I’d like to get it to a level where I can read Harry Potter somewhat flawlessly. I’m working on it.
3. Meet some new bloggers
I love meeting new people online, and I’d really like to welcome newbies to the community!
4. Keep the blog scheduled
I managed really well in the first half of 2015 and then it all fell apart. I’m going to try my hardest to get ahead so that I don’t have to stress about it too much. I find blogging so much more relaxing when I have at least two weeks worth of posts scheduled in advance, so I want to keep that up for as long as possible.
5. Complete Couch-to-5K
I was doing really well with my running but that’s another thing that I let slip due to anxiety. I started hating going to the gym, and I refuse to run outside on the road. I want to change that this year and pick up running and the gym again, and I think having a goal like Couch-to-5K will help me with that.
6. Reread Harry Potter
I haven’t reread this entire series in YEARS and it makes me sad! This year will be the year.
7. Make an effort to finish series
This includes both books and TV shows. Being a book blogger, I have a tendency to start new series a lot when the first books are released and then I either forget to finish them, or I don’t have time. Or the rest of the series isn’t out yet. But I’d like to finish a bunch of series this year, or at least catch up with some ongoing ones. The same goes for TV shows. I’m in the middle of loads, but I’d like to finish off some completed series, as well as finish the several rewatches I’m in the middle of.
8. Experiment with cooking
I don’t cook very often, but when I do I always end up enjoying it. I want to cook more often this year and also branch out with it a bit more. I tend to cook the same things over and over again, so I would like to try some new things.
9. Drink more water
I only really drink water, with the occasional coffee thrown in, so that’s not the problem. I just don’t drink enough of it. I downloaded an app a couple of weeks ago which tells me how much water I need to aim for each day, shows me how much I’ve drank and how much more I need to drink, and it also reminds me every hour and a half.
10. Read 100 books
This is my goal every year, and although I came close to not managing it in 2015, I did it! So I’m doing it again this year.
