Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week we’re talking about one of my favourite topics – debuts!
Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman
It’s a pirate book about Blackbeard. Guys. GUYS. PIRATES.
This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp
This is kind of morbid of me, but I find school shootings fascinating to read about. It started with that episode of One Tree Hill and then kind of escalated from there. I really enjoy reading about the psychology of everyone involved, from the shooter to the students to the teachers. And about the stuff leading up to the event.
The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig
TIME TRAVEL PLEASE SAVE ME
Into The Dim by Janet B. Taylor
MORE TIME TRAVEL I CAN’T HANDLE THIS
A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
Sherlock Holmes meets Rich People Drama meets prep school. My dream.
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
This fantasy sounds absolutely epic, with Middle Eastern and also American Western influences.
The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye
HISTORICAL AND FANTASTICAL RUSSIA (I realise I’m shouting a lot but THESE DEBUTS)
Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh
Is this a prehistoric fantasy novel I see before me
Burning Glass by Kathryn Purdie
I need to stop shouting but FANTASY. I’ve heard so many great things about this book, which is about a girl who has gifts that she has to hide.
Summer of Sloane by Erin L. Schneider
This is a contemporary set in Hawaii. Yes please.
