Doing it this week because lol I have no concept of time. Also, hi, I took over this one because I like to talk about books I have loved. LET ME MAKE YOUR LIVES BETTER, YOU GUYS.
This is the last book in the Fairyland series (that I’m like 98% sure I’ve excitedly talked about before) and I loooooved it. It was just the perfect combination of strange and bittersweet; September is one of my favourite heroines ever <3 I’m going to miss this series so much, man.
I LOVED this book. I do not mean in a casual way either. I mean it was legit one of the most perfectly formed, tense thrillers I’ve ever read. Seriously, it gave me anxiety. Plus: the OTP. I’ve already read the sequel to this, and it’s a bit bonkers tbh but Child 44 is honestly flawless as a standalone. Go and read it and then come talk to me about Leo Demidov, okay.
Listen, I love this series. Also it’s really hard to explain why without going into plot stuff but trust me, it’s so good. Kelley Armstrong is amazing at two things: female characters and romance. This series really brings both in spades and I will be waiting patiently for my OTP to finally bang like they so desperately want to.
ROWAN AND AELIN. MANON. THE SHIPS. THE OTP.
Another book, another OTP. Also evil forests and fabulous prose. I loved this book a lot tbh.
Umm, I definitely thought I’d given more books 5 star ratings but clearly I have not because I had to go into last year to find some and that’s just sad. Let’s stick with 5. 5 books with 5 star ratings, there we go!

Oh, I really enjoyed “Child 44” when I read it a few years ago and was excited when I heard it would be turned into a movie but I haven’t managed to watch it yet, somehow I also want to re-read before I watch the movie.
I also haven’t read the sequels yet and it’s not very encouraging if you say they weren’t as good as “Child 44” but I’m still planning to give them a try some time^^
