The time has come for this rewatch to happen. The 100 is back for its third season on 21st January 2016, and we need to be ready to watch live, keep the rating up, and build up the hype for this excellent show. I had been kind of planning an epic rewatch for a while, but then the show was pushed back to 2016 (I hate you, CW) and I got busy and everything started to suck.
But then Angie and Andrea saved the day! Together we are planning an epic rewatch of The 100, which will span two months and include lots of gifs, livewatches, and fangirling. And – my favourite part – weekly discussions and analysis!
As you can see, we’ve had to stuff a lot of episodes into this schedule. Unfortunately (or, rather, fortunately for us fans) The 100 is back quite soon and we don’t have time to take this at a leisurely pace. One livewatch will be hosted on Twitter each week, and every Sunday there will be a wrap up and discussion post talking about the episodes that you will all hopefully have watched.
I will more than likely be liveblogging the whole experience from start to finish, but we’ll be doing one official livewatch each week where we all watch an episode together. The livewatches will be happening at different times and dates each time (the time and date will be announced either in the previous week’s wrap up post or on Twitter) so hopefully everyone will be able to take part in at least one.
The first livewatch will be for Season 1, Episode 2 on Wednesday 2nd December at 9pm GMT (4pm EST). I will be hosting this episode full of sexual tension and shirtlessness.
We’re asking everyone to be mindful of any potential newbies who might be joining us, but we also won’t be trying to police spoilers or telling people not to post them. If you’re a veteran fan, please be aware that lots of people don’t know what happened during 2×08, and if you’re a newbie, then welcome! Watch out for spoilers. We’ll obviously be spoiling previous episodes as we go along, so while we’re watching the episodes feel free to shout as loudly as you like.
And, lastly, feel free to share these epic graphics that Andrea made! Angie and I made sure she cut Finn out because no one wants to see that.
