I’m back with my most anticipated releases for September 2019! I’ve skipped this post over the past couple of months because of my blogging slump, but I’m back now and I’m super hyped for (mostly) all of these books. Let me know in the comments below which books you’re most looking forward to. Should I have included something else in this list?

Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
Goodreads | Amazon
Admittedly, I’m not super hyped about this because I hated Nevernight (!) but I figured you’d all be excited for it.
Five Dark Fates by Kendare Blake
Goodreads | Amazon
I’ve been quite enjoying this series, even if it’s not the best thing I’ve ever read! I’m half excited for it to be over.
Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron
Goodreads | Amazon
I’m currently reading this one as I’m typing this, and I’m super excited for all the witchdoctor goodness. I’ve just gotten to the part where children are going missing, so I’m waiting for the main character to solve the case!

The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett
Goodreads | Amazon
This one is about a girl who’s the daughter of a treasure hunter, who ends up going in search for Vlad the Impaler (or his ring?). I’m hoping for some Lara Croft vibes from this one, although the blurb doesn’t mention it.
Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
Goodreads | Amazon
I was considering requesting this one to review, but I’ve been a bit busy lately and didn’t want to overdo it. I want to get to it soon though! It’s been getting a tonne of hype. It’s about a witch who flees her coven and goes into hiding, and a witch hunter who works for the church. There’s probably a romance between the two of them, but that’s just a guess.
Steel Crow Saga by Paul Krueger
Goodreads | Amazon
I didn’t know until recently that this one was inspired by Pokemon?! Or has Pokemon kind of elements, in that everyone gets an animal companion. I’m so here for this fantasy book!

The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
Goodreads | Amazon
I’m hoping this is going to be a fantastical Locke & Key with less horror and more whimsy!
Steel Tide by Natalie C. Parker
Goodreads | Amazon
I haven’t read Seafire yet but do you think I should? I’ve been intrigued by it since it came out last year.
The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young
Goodreads | Amazon
This one is about vikings and blood feuds and clans. Sign me up!

The Grace Year by Kim Liggett
Goodreads | Amazon
This is a dystopian feminist thriller that has been likened to The Handmaid’s Tale. Given how much I adored Vox recently, I’m really in the mood for more feminist books in my life!
The Nanny by Gilly Macmillan
Goodreads | Amazon
The Nanny is about a woman whose nanny vanished when she was younger. I’m looking forward to trying another Gilly Macmillan book out, and I think this might be the one!
The Tenth Girl by Sara Faring
Goodreads | Amazon
This is a psychological thriller that has been really hyped up since BEA. Have you read it yet? I’m kind of on the fence about it after reading some reviews. The premise sounds good though!

There Will Come A Darkness by Katy Rose Pool
Goodreads | Amazon
This is a fantasy book about prophets! Prophets used to rule the world, until one day they vanished. I’m so ready for some prophecies!
Unspoken by Celia McMahon
Goodreads | Amazon
This is another one of those forbidden magic fantasy books, and it’s something I can potentially get behind.
So those are all the new books I’m looking forward to getting hold of in September! What about you?
So many good new books. I have Serpent and the Dove and The Lady Rogue on my TBR and I’m hoping I can get a hold of them soon. There are some new releases I’ve not heard of before in your post, though. I may have to read up on a few more books.
A lot of people have been loving Serpent and Dove!
I hadn’t heard of Unspoken before but that cover looks beautiful so now I’m intrigued!
The cover is really cool!
This is such an amazing list. So many of these are on my list. I am currently reading Kingdom of Souls and it is so good. I am excited to read A Ten Thousand Doors of January.
There are so many good books coming out in September! October is looking pretty busy as well. I’m glad you’re enjoying Kingdom of Souls!
I’m seen Serpent and Dove all over the place… I’m still not sold on it. That cover is so gosh awful to me that I just can’t seem to buy the hype. I particularly hate the massive & sign. Steel Crow Saga though is one I’ve been eyeing. I’ve not read a lot about it either. Great list!!
Haha the cover isn’t great! I didn’t even realise it was a & sign until you pointed it out.
