Psych, it’s not Amber, it’s me! I’m gonna do mine as more of a livebloggy recap thing because that’s what I used to do for The Vampire Diaries back in the day but I hope you enjoy it XD
- How much do I love the voiceover/recap being voiced by Bellamy? So. Much. Also have you guys noticed, he’s totally deepened his voice just for this…it’s hot. It makes me feel things.
- What did I do in a past life to deserve the punishment of an opening scene with Lexa I just do not know.
- Clarke does not look comfortable with being on that council. I mean, she walked away from Camp Jaha and her own people because the burden of leadership broke her but we see her again being put in a position of influence. And again, she’s deciding whether a person lives or dies…something she never wanted to have to decide in the first place.
- A vote of no confidence isn’t a coup, though, is it. Lexa pretty much does whatever she wants as leader, including making Skaikru the 13th clan. She definitely seems to have dismissed the opinions of her council members in the past and is doing it again by not listening to their resistance against Skaikru being recognised as a Grounder clan. Also, lbr, Queen Nia (I bloody hope that’s her name) has a point. You can’t force a people to simply accept another group without allowing trust to grow between them. I mean, The 100 hasn’t touched on this but Clarke and her people are descendants of those who got to escape Earth and live out their lives in relative peace while those left behind had to forage a life for themselves on the ground.
- This bald dude is either very pro Lexa or pro Clarke…I ship it.
- Clarke is honestly my favourite. Lexa betrayed her, dooming her people to an almost certain death and Roan kidnapped her and nearly killed Bellamy but Clarke’s still so concerned for both of them. She can’t stop herself from caring.
- Also. Also. Can I point out that she was worried for both of them – she doesn’t want either Lexa or Roan to get hurt. This wouldn’t have been the case if Bellamy had been involved. Lexa pointed this out last season when she said that Clarke cares about Bellamy more than anyone else and I think that if Clarke was ever in a position to have to choose between the people she cares about…she’d pick Bellamy every time.
- Does anyone else immediately tune out whenever Kane and Abby start talking? No? Just me? Okay, whatever. They’re just so boring.
- Kane is legit a bit callous, calling his own people ‘collateral damage’. I mean, I agree that most of Skaikru are meat shields but I, unlike Kane, have no obligation to give a shit about these people. Also, Pike is right about it not being someone’s else’s war once your own people are killed.
- BELLAMY IS SO BEAUTIFUL. HE’S JUST SO MUSCLY AND FRECKLY AND CURLY HAIRED MY SWEET PRECIOUS SON.
- I don’t care for Kane trying to mentor Bellamy. At all.
- Gina existed for like two episodes but she died for a good cause because Bellamy is truly beautiful when he cries.
- I am just saying, if this was The Walking Dead, Jasper would have allowed the walkers in by damaging the wall. He’s such a little cretin, I hope he dies.
- What an excellent idea, having a ten year old be next in line for the throne. Can’t imagine that going wrong at all.
- ‘You don’t stand a chance against Roan’ <3_________<3 Stealth OTP though.
- ‘Is that Death I hear stalking me?’

- Clarke straight up manipulating Roan is so Hermione Granger of her. Love it.
- This guy: Iris was great
- Me: who’s Iris
- Bellamy: Gina was real
- Me: ‘Kay…sounds fake but okay…
- I’m sorry, I just can’t be expected to care about characters that barely showed up on screen at all.
- This scene with Skaikru getting riled up sort of proves my earlier point that Lexa, and to a lesser extent Kane and Abby, is just forcing a relationship between two groups of people that need more time to learn to trust each other. How did the great commander Lexa not see that calling up an army to more or less surround skaikru would be taken as a threat by a people who had so recently suffered such a massive loss at the hands of Grounders? Dude. Come on, now.
- LINCOLN THOUGHT OF OCTAVIA AND GOT BACK UP I LOVE HIM.
- Is Jasper gonna die this season? One can only hope.
- The dropship looks so eerie, it’s kind of sad. Also, what happened to all the bodies that Skaikru rocket fuelled to death at the end of S1?
- Why is their blood black though. Legit cylons.
- Related: bets on which member of Skaikru turns out to bleed black blood? My vote goes to Monty.
- My current theory re. Clexa is that it will eventually turn out that while Lexa is in love with Clarke, what she did at the end of S2 killed any hope of a relationship between them and that while Clarke does obviously care about her, it will never be ‘love’ again. I would also love to see how Clarke would cope with choosing between Lexa and Bellamy because he is always the one exception that Clarke has ever had.
- I don’t have any issues with Bellamy choosing to side with Pike because it always seemed obvious to me that eventually he would fight. Remember, this is the guy who wanted to stay and fight at the end of S1. I do have a continuing issue with Bellamy taking orders and listening to other people, though. He was such a charismatic, powerful leader in S1 and the show seems to increasingly pushed him away from that burgeoning storyline.
- Clarke is a beautiful princess and no one will ever convince me otherwise. Perfect 2 me.
- Also, this is like the only Clexa scene I’ve ever liked. It’s romantic and layered with tragedy i.e. sign me up for that Shakespearean nonsense. Would’ve liked it even more if Clarke had gone all Ilithyia/Lucretia on Lexa’s ass and engineered her demise but we can’t have everything.
- Really like this fight scene too because it’s brutal (also beautifully choreographed) and has a woman in armour that 1) is practical 2) not overtly sexualised fighting and holding her own against a seasoned warrior. I appreciate that Lexa wins through skill too. Still hate her but like…props.
- ‘So much for the good Grounder’ ugh, lady, he’s not your little mascot.
- lmao Kane is doing the same as Lexa by choosing to involve his people in such a different world without letting them voice their opinions.
- Monty should kill Jasper and bury him by the dropship lbr.
- Me when Jasper dropped Finn’s ashes:
- Clarke looks beautiful in her post-apocalyptic Dolce & Gabbana dress rags. Loving that Grounder fashion, y’all.
- Listen…Pike should die soon so that Bellamy can take over.
- I don’t know, I really loved this episode? What I found with the latter half of S2 was that I wasn’t engaged with the plot. Like, don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it but it never captured my interest in the way S3 is, especially now. I’m loving the tension between Grounders and Skaikru and am looking forward to the eventual face off between Bellamy and Clarke (do this 4 me CW network, you have given me so little). I think this was also a really cool development for Bellamy although I do agree that Gina dying for his manpain was ridiculous, not least because you cannot expect an audience to engage with a character who barely exists. It was always obvious that they’d take Bellamy in the opposite route to Clarke, and since she’s so entrenched in the Grounder storyline it’s clear that they’re going to parallel Bellamy with her in the Skaikru storyline.
I’ve been working on this epic comment for two days, so I hope you appreciate it! 😀
1) YES @ the voiceover. Bob seems to deepen his voice when he’s not actually acting and just doing voiceovers/voice stuff, like at conventions. Then when he’s acting his voice goes wild XD
2) I wouldn’t feel comfortable on the council either lololol.
3) Taking the latest episode into considering this: “Lexa pretty much does whatever she wants as leader” is SO FUCKING TRUE. She is constantly doing whatever the hell she wants (not sure if it’s meant to be an awful parallel?) with no regard to what other people want or need. Her main goal seems to be to keep the Grounders’ numbers up, but she doesn’t care about the individuals. And she also throws her status in people’s faces. And by people, I mean Clarke.
4) I would definitely not be as concerned as Clarke. Well, maybe about Roan because he’s attractive. Maybe that’s Clarke’s logic for both of them.
5) “This wouldn’t have been the case if Bellamy had been involved.” CRIES FOREVER.
6) I’m starting to care more about Kane now that Bellamy has switched allegiances to Pike. Idk why. I’M JUST UPSET ABOUT EVERYTHING.
7) Thank you, Gina, for your sacrifice.
8) I said the same thing about Jasper creating a hole in the defenses. If this comes back then I hope whoever gets through kills him first.
9) I’m calling the new spiritual Commander boy Joffrey.
10) ROAN/CLARKE 5EVA
11) Srsly, who is Iris?
12) The shot of the dropship made me cry! THEY’VE ALL BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH AND HAVE COME SO FAR I CANT.
13) omg what if Monty becomes leader of the Grounders. YES PLEASE.
14) I see your theory about Clexa being legit, although the writers seem to LOVE them and absolve Lexa of everything she’s ever done. If they ever pit Lexa and Bellamy against each other (in a serious/epic/OMG manner, because they’re already against each other… FORESHADOWING) then Clarke would 100% pick Bellamy and I would die. D I E.
15) And yesssss @ Bellamy/Pike. Not the ship, but him siding with Pike. It was an obvious arc that they were going with, and it’s not OOC at alllll, so I think fandom needs to take a step back. I think this whole thing is going to be a way of Bellamy and Clarke regaining control of their people, because Kane isn’t charasmatic enough and Pike obviously isn’t fit to lead them. And Bellamy’s conversation with Clarke in the latest episode laid everything out PERFECTLY. She left him. Lexa left them to die in the mountain and forced Bellamy and Clarke to kill hundreds of people, including those who Bellamy mingled with and helped hide him and 40 of their people. She made them kill children. Now Clarke has “chosen” Lexa over him because she doesn’t want to come back (and I’m not blaming her for that) and she’s not ready, so of course Bellamy is upset now that more of his people have died thanks to the Grounders. Of course he wants revenge. It would be OOC if all of a sudden he’d be like “oh it’s fine it’s no big deal I support this partnership <3".
16) I can't believe you liked a Clexa scene. Get off my blog.
17) I think Pike is gonna die or he's gonna go far, far away by the end of the season, and Bellarke are going to rise. *insert Elmo fire emoji here*.
18) I'm loving this season so far idec. This whole show is wonderful and I've loved every episode since the pilot. BYEEEEE.
FIN.
