I had a really good reading month in April, so I’m hoping the same thing will happen in May. I’ve been very ambitious with with TBR, but at the same time it’s good to have choices, right?
I’m only really dying to read a couple of new releases this month, and they’re big ones. War Storm is (obviously!) the final book in the Red Queen series. Admittedly, it’s not a masterpiece, but it’s a really enjoyable series and I’m hooked. I’m looking forward to seeing how it ends, and I’m considering going to an author event next month, so I’d like to read the book before then. Furyborn is one that’s getting a tonne of hype, and I really hope it lives up to it.
I’ve got quite a few review copies to get to this month because I fell a bit behind in April, but these are the ones that are coming out soon and I’m dying to read all of them. A couple of these are fantasy, and the one that sounds the most unique is Drop By Drop, which is set in a world in which all the plastic in the world melts and people have to learn to survive. It’s definitely the one I’m most excited for!
I’ve got a bunch of things here to read, and a real mixture of genres. A few of these are ones that I really should have read months (or years) ago. I’m expecting Atonement to make me cry, so I’m saving that for when I’m alone. Nothing Left to Burn is a newish release, and I think it sounds fantastic. I’m currently reading Caraval and I’m enjoying it a lot. It’s making me very paranoid though because of the whole “It’s all a game” thing.
What are you planning on reading in May? Have you read any of these? What should I prioritise?
Caraval is on my TBR this month too! Along with so many other books I think it’s going to end up being cut unfortunately, but maybe I’ll get to it another month. I’m pretty excited about Furyborn and Onyx & Ivory, although I think I’m more excited about the latter’s cover, it’s GORGEOUS.

Did you get to Caraval? What did you think?
I still haven’t read Furyborn or Onyx & Ivory, but I want to get to the latter this month. The cover IS gorgeous!
