Back in July (which still feels like yesterday, by the way) I shared my halfway point reading statistics, and I really enjoyed going back to look at them last week. I wanted to share my final reading statistics for 2015 with you all. For funsies. And also so I can look back in July and in 2017 to see how much progress I’ve made!
Read: 101
Pages: 38,554
DNFs: 4
Lost interest: 7
Acquired: ~40
I was doing really well with my TBR reduction challenge and reading my own books until the end of the year, when I got into a giant reading slump that spanned three months. I also got a tonne of books for my birthday in November and for Christmas, so those added up. I’m determined to be better at it this year. But I did meet my goal of 100 books, so I’m pleased!
Most Active Month: October, in which I read 4590 pages. (Previously March.)
Happiest Reading Month: Still May, with a 3.5 average rating.
Most Expensive Reading Month: April, when I spent £27 on books.
Standalones: 46
Series Started: 35
Series Finished: 7
Well, I only finished two more series since I last updated the stats. As I mentioned in my previous post, I don’t see this trend changing any time soon because I have a huge amount of series starters on my TBR, and not so many series enders. I will try, but I don’t see it happening.
Contemporary!
In July, my most read genre was fantasy at 17.54%, but contemporary shot up and took up 20% of my overall reading by the end of the year.
Female: 70.48%
Male: 26.67%
F/M: 2.86%
This hasn’t changed at all! I’ve still read mostly female authors and I’m cool with it.
I managed to up my daily page count average. By one page. I read, on average, 106 pages per day. It took me a bit longer to finish a book, though. My average upped to 2.93 days. Damn reading slumps.
Overall, I’m a bit upset that my slump towards the end of the year fucked things up so much. But I found it really interesting to go back and see how things had changed since the first half of the year. I can’t wait to see how it all looks in July!

It’s always fun to look up on our reading habits, this year I hope to be more conscious about mine since I started using a spreadsheet, let’s see how long that will last haha

Spreadsheets really do help XD

I’m always impressed by your number of acquired books. How do you still have books left to read? XD
Somehow I didn’t expect you to have read more Contemporary than Fantasy.

Because I am a slow reader, apparently! And I still have 300 books HELP ME.
Me neither! I don’t know how this happened.
