Epic Recs is back for another month! Even though we both keep failing miserably at reccing and reading, but we have reasons. Like work and university. Good reasons. Anyway, last month I managed to read ONE of the recommendations that I was supposed to catch up on, and I don’t think Judith managed to read any. But oh well! I’m recommending epically anyway because that’s what I do.
This month I want Judith to read THE FINAL EMPIRE. Because ha. Haha. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHA *collapses* *wails*. And Judith wants me to read THE HECTOR KINGDOM. Er, I mean, The Bitter Kingdom. Yes. That.
Have you read either of these? If not, WHY HAVEN’T YOU READ MISTBORN?!?!?! What is wrong with you?! I joke, I joke. *shoves The Final Empire into your basket*
For those of you who don’t know, Epic Recs is a monthly thing where Judith and I, and other pairs or groups of people, recommend a book to each other. It can either be a truly epic book that you are dying for someone to read, or a troll-worthy book that you just want to force upon your friend. Judith and I have been doing the former, obviously, because we like to share books that make us cry. If you want to take part then you can totally do that, and leave a link to your post or tweet below!
We’re no longer going to be able to pair people up for Epic Recs, unfortunately. Both Judith and I are so busy lately with work and university, and it’s not fair to you guys when we take ages to find a partner for you. However, you are still able to use the Linky for your own Epic Recs posts, and that means that you’re welcome to find your own partners! You can use the #EpicRecs hastag on Twitter to either advertise yourself (not for that reason!) or look for a partner in crime. Good luck to you all!
I could ask you the same thing, WHY HAVEN’T YOU READ THE BITTER KINGDOM YET ? 😮 But yeah, I also need to pick up The final empire.
Because I was saving it for Hectober! 😀
Wait until you come to the third Mistborn book. Your brain will EXPLODE because of all the AWESOMENESS!! 😀
Don’t know “The Bitter Kingdom” but sounds like it’s worth a look!
I’m so worried and scared and excited!
Yeahhhh so I still haven’t read either of these. I KNOW. Mistborn keeps staring at me from my bookshelf. I know it’s judging me
*stares at you from behind the bookshelf* Mistborn is totally judging you! 😀
YESS MISTBORN! It’s always my go to rec when people ask me where to start with Brandon Sanderson epic fantasy because it’s amazing (omg the plot twists, especially in book three) and because it reads more like a YA (it’s mostly YA readers who ask for the recs).
Hopefully Judith will enjoy it! By which I mean she’ll definitely enjoy it because Brandon Sanderson. 😛
It is only natural that you would call it The Hector Kingdom as it is the sequel to The Crown of Hector.
Also you’re making her read The Final Empire? You are cruel person. You should make her read Feed next. *smiles angelically*
