Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
This is about a girl who is allergic to the world. A guy probably turns up at some point and I’m expecting insta-romance, but I’m very much looking forward to reading it, especially as it’s had so many praises from other authors.
This seems to be about a girl who is assaulted at a party, and the uproar in the small town she lives in once she presses charges. I don’t often seek out books about assault, but I’m willing to give this one a go.
I’ve been waiting for this one for so long! Rachel Vincent is one of my favourite authors, and when I found out she was bringing out two books this year I was so happy. The Stars Never Rise was a bit of a let down, but I still have high hopes for this story about a magical carnival.
Dreamland by Robert L Anderson
This is about a girl who can walk through dreams. YAAAASSSS. I’m a bit hesitant because the blurb mentions a mysterious new guy, but maybe he’ll be a cool mysterious new guy?
Not to be confused with The Scorpio Races. I can’t tell if it’s a fantasy novel or apocalyptic, but I want to read it to find out.
Ruin and Rising didn’t end well, but I’m willing to forgive that slight mishap and give Six of Crows a go. Luckily, I’m in a huge fantasy mood right now and I want to take all the fantasy I can get.
Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson
Speaking of fantasy, HOW EXCITED ARE YOU FOR THIS?! I really enjoyed the first two books in the Fire and Thorns trilogy, and while I have yet to read the third I am hoping to whiz through that soon and read this. It’s about a girl who can detect gold.
I’m very curious about the Scorpio Rules! I’ve seen 5-star reviews and 1-star reviews. So I’m excited to see what I’ll think of it. And obviously, I wish I could already hold Six of Crows & Walk on Earth a Stranger…
The Scorpion Rules is a dystopia and it’s so good, you really should get to it this month 😉
Very intrigued about What We Saw!
