My list is fairly short this month because most of my anticipated releases are debuts and will be featured in my Debut Showcase feature. But, BUT! One of my all time favourite authors is coming out with her first YA book in two years, and I’m so excited. Rachel Vincent took a short break from publishing (although she was still writing) any books last year, and this year she’s bringing out THREE books! You can learn more about Rachel Vincent and why she’s one of my faves in my Author Spotlight post.
The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent
This one seems to be about two sisters and I adore books like that! I hope their relationship is the main focus, with everything else going on in the background. Vincent hasn’t written about a sister relationship before so I can’t wait to see how this one goes.
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler
Every time Ockler comes out with a new book I tell myself that I HAVE to read it. I still haven’t read any of her books, but I love the sound of this one and the cover is so cute. There are some sibling relationships going on and fake pirates and mermaids. YES.
The Devil You Know by Trish Doller
So this sounds like a dark contemporary thriller about two hot guys and a girl and someone with “dark intentions”. If there are murders/creepy people, then I am here for it.
Which books are you looking forward to this month? Let’s not forget that An Ember in the Ashes is out in the UK this week!
I’m so excited for The Stars Never Rise, too! Mostly because of the gorgeous cover, but I love books with sisters too! <3 I already read both Sarah's and Trish's books. 🙂 The Summer of Chasing Mermaids was AMAZING–I promise you will not be disappointed. The Devil You Know was not as amazing, but still a read that'll keep you on your toes. 🙂
SO SO SO EXCITED FOR MORE RACHEL VINCENT. If the sister relationship is one of the main themes/focuses of the novel I will be over the moon. I haven’t read anything of hers except Soul Screamers. I really should try her adult stuff one day.
The other two books sound interesting but but my excitement for The Stars Never Rise overshadows all haha
All of these books are in my TBR but I am most especially excited for The Stars Never Rise and The Summer of Chasing Mermaids. I absolutely loved Rachel Vincent’s Soul Screamers series and reviewers are already raving about her latest book! I also adore books with great sibling relationship. I’ve read Bittersweet and #scandal by Sarah Ockler and liked them but I have a feeling that The Summer of Chasing Mermaids is going to be beautiful.
I’d not heard of any of these until now, and I have to say that The Stars Never Rise sounds intriguing…
The Devil You Know sounds really good!
