july

Welcome to my monthly post where I talk about my most anticipated book releases for the upcoming month! There are a couple here that I love the sound of, and others I chose because of their cover.

Sea Witch by Sarah Henning

Ursula! The cover! AHHHH!

How We Learned to Lie by Meredith Miller

This one is on my Maybe list. It sounds like a cute contemporary, but I’m not sure it’s going to stand out.

Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers

Has anyone not read this series yet?

The Girl You Thought I Was by Rebecca Phillips

I’ve already read this one and I loved it. It’s about a girl who is living with her father after their parents divorced. She’s no longer speaking to her mother because she’s angry about the affair that broke their family apart. Due to that anger, she has taken up shoplifting and is using it as an outlet. It’s a fantastic book.

Notes From My Captivity by Kathy Parks

This is about a girl who is held captive by a family in the Russian wilderness. I’m a bit hesitant about the love story, but I’m intrigued.

Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik

I haven’t read Uprooted yet but everyone is excited for this one so I am too.
